Rest or take shelter at Rifugio Cotozzo near the Camaldoli Monastery. Equipped with water fountain, a bivouac, fireplace, and wide benches for a cozy sleep. Located at 1114 meters above sea level, it offers a beautiful bivouac for snow and ski enthusiasts, complete with a cozy fireplace and benches for sleeping. Though the walk to get there is uphill, it’s worth it for the fantastic views and high excursion and spiritual interest of the Casentino forests. This is an unmanaged shelter. It’s a good place to hide from the weather or to take a rest.
